I CAN FINALLY LOG ON TO MESSENGER WITHOUT HANGING! BAHAHA :DD
I uninstalled it, tried installing it again but found out that it doesnt support Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. For those facing the same situation, i'll save you the trouble of finding the solution haha you can click
here to download. And if you experienced the same problem of having the whole thing hang when you log in, do the following:
1. go to "run" in the start menu
2. type "regedit.exe"
3. Open "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger"
4. Delete the folder, MSN Messenger
5. After this MSN Messenger Live will login as normal
If you're too lazy to go through the above processes, go download ebuddy lol.
